Halloween Decor!

Its Halloween tomorrow! Are you all excited?! Today I thought I would share my favourite Halloween decorations so here goes!..

1.    The first is some LED Light up balloons from Tesco I think these would be good for a Halloween party or even to decorate your house for the night! For just £3.49 these are a great value and look spookily good to!

2.    The next is fold out pumpkins from Poundland I think these are just adorable they are so cute and would complete any Halloween party! I cant believe they are only a pound as well!

3.    Tesco have a great range this year and I have gone a little over the top! But I just couldn’t resist these cute lights! They come in 2 designs the eyes or pumpkins.. of course I couldn’t choose so I got both! They are £5.99 each but they are well worth it!

4.    This is my favourite out of all of the decorations its so cute, the little upside down bat is a little tea light holder to, you can buy this from Wilko for £2.50!

What decorations have you got for Halloween? What do you think of mine?

Halloween Floating Hand Punch!

Now as everyone knows Halloween is just round the corner and what's not to love?! Today I thought I would show you a really simple but effective Halloween decoration! So here goes…

To make a frozen hand wash a disposable plastic glove and fill it with water and seal with a elastic band, or you could just tie the end of the glove then put it in the freezer until it's turned to ice.

To make the punch which the hand will go in you can use lots of different things but im going to tell you my favourites! Stir together a red grape soft drink mix, orange juice, sugar and water if the punch isn’t quite red you can use a drop of black currant to give it an extra effect! Or you could simple but some blackcurrant and water together to give the same effect! If you want you can add eyes, teeth or anything else to decorate!

And there you have it your own spooky floating hand! Have you made this before? let me know what you think below!

Steam Cream

I was really intrigued by the company's ethos of using natural, vegan, and sustainable ingredients but the clincher for me was the cute packaging! During the colder months, I use it on my face both during the day under my makeup and at night before bed. I don't find it to be too greasy and it works wonderfully under my makeup. That being said, during the warmer months, I only use it at night and not under my makeup as I tend not to wear many products under my makeup. The cream itself is very light and glossy and is absorbed into your skin quickly.

The only problem that I have with this product is the fact that it does come in a pot container. Although it is very cute it is not the most hygienic to be dipping your fingers into the cream but apart from that I can't fault it!
Have you tried any of the steam cream products? Let me know what you think of them below!

Product of the week!

This week's Pick of the Week is the Essie's Nail Polish in Plumberry! - I love the whole
polish range, but for autumn/ winter this is one of my favourites!
It does Come out a darker colour than in bottle, but it's still a gorgeous colour. Plumberry is a pretty dark raspberry colour that leans more on the red side. This colour is an awesome alternative for a normal red polish. I would repurchase this!
I love my red nail varnishes I do have a lot of them to many to count! Last week I wore red nail polish for the first time in what seemed like ages! I love having bright, bold colours on my nails but for this time of year I try to mix it up and go for more berry tones.
The only thing I hate about painting my nails is getting them almost perfect then while your waiting for them to dry you smudge one its so frustrating but this dries so quickly I don’t have time to knock them, although you sometimes get the odd little mark.
What are your favourite Nail Polish brands or colours? I'd love to know let me know below!!

Pamper Evening!

Hello Lovelies!

So today I thought I would do a post on the perfect pamper evening! Everyone loves a pamper evening there are a time to chill and to have a bit of "you" time!

The one thing a pamper evening wouldn’t be complete without is a nice hot bubble bath, they are so relaxing and is just a great time to forget everything and just unwind and even host your own mini concert! I know you all do it!

When I'm sat in my nice warm bath I love to listen to relaxing music, not everyone likes to do this but I certainly do!

Face masks.. I love them! They are so good for your skin and they smell lovely to, what's not to love! If you want you can go all out by adding slices of cucumber to your eyes but I tend to just stick with the mask.

This is one of my favourite things about a pamper evening and that is the warm hot chocolate, or any hot drink you like after your bath mmm its so refreshing and just helps me relax just a bit more!

If you’re a bit clumsy like me then this part might not be for you.. but you can light a nice scented candle to give it that cosy setting!

Now you can't have a good pamper with out the chick- flicks ;) oh no find your favourite, get some nibbles and finish off the evening tucked in your duvet watching your favourite film!

What's your essentials for a great pamper evening? Let me know below!

The Skin Care Tag!

Hello lovelies!

So I was tagged by the lovely Carmen from http://shugarlove.com/  to do the skin care tag! if you haven’t already checked out her blog then make sure you do!

So on with the questions!

Describe your skin care routine in 5 words:

Remove, cleanse, moisturise, water and eat well

What's your skin type?

My skin type varies quite a lot depending on the season but normally I would say combination

Top blemish zapper:

This is going to sound really weird but trust me it works.. I use toothpaste you just put a little bit on the blemish over night then by the next day it has been reduced! Does anyone else do this or is it just me?

Face wipes, yay or nay?

Definitely yay! They are so handy to remove makeup and just to pop in your bag to keep your refreshed all da!

Toner, yay or nay?

Yay I find it helps keep my skin looking and feeling great I don’t use it all the time but I like to use it now and again.

High- end skin care or high-end makeup?

High-end makeup all the way! I can never help myself with makeup I always end up spending money!

What's the most unusual skin care product you have tried?

I haven’t tried anything really unusual apart from tomato on your face apparently it helps but I didn’t notice a difference!

Tell us your top skin care tip:

My tip would be to look after your skin by taking your makeup off before you go to bed, drink lots of water and eat lots of fruit and veg -  it really makes a difference!

Product of the week!

Today's product of the week is Home Made rocky road! I love rocky road especially in the winter sat down in the warm with a hot chocolate and piece of rocky road what's not to love!

Now I know not everyone has time to make it homemade so I went on the hunt for the best shop brought rocky road!

I went into 3 different shops to buy rocky road and here are my favourites!

1. Tesco Rocky Road £1.30 this tastes just like homemade rocky road but better! You get quite a lot for your money but in my house they didn't last long!

2. The next shop I went into was Sainsbury's but it took me forever to find the rocky road I even  asked the lady where it was but she didn't know! I was about to give up when another customer over heard and pointed me in the right direction! I must say it was worth the agro as they are delicious! you can get them for £1.55 each or 2 packs for £2.50 so of course I went for the 2 packs! haha!

3. Last but not least was the Waitrose Rocky Road Bite for £2.69 or 2 for £4 this are quite a lot more expensive for what they are although they are really good quality and tasted lovely!

So there you have it my product of the week! have you tried any of these rocky roads? if you have what was your favourite?

1.   How many hours a week do you spend on your blog?

It takes a lot of time writing posts, taking pictures, editing things so I do spend a lot of my time creating new posts for you lovely people! Product Of The Week!

So today I thought I would do something a little bit different and I thought I would do a new series on my blog "Product of the week" I will post this every Sunday and it could be on anything! So lets get started!
This week I have been loving my Bourjois 2 in 1 mascara it is really volumizing, lengthens your eyelashes. This is great for everyday and night time occasions as it allows you to build it up to get the effect you are looking for.
The tube lasts a long time I brought mine 4 months ago and im only just starting to run out which is great as normally my mascara only lasts me for 3 months. The mascara comes with 2 brushes/ steps step one is to grab all the lashes and separate them and the 2nd step is to volumize and lengthen.
What have you been loving this week? Let me know below!

Amargan Advanced Styler

This product is great! It softens your hair making it more manageable, restores the shine, detangles your hair which is always a bonus when trying to style your hair! It helps control frizz and those pesky flyaway hairs!

To get the best results I applied after I had shampooed I just added a few drops onto the palms of my hairs and worked it through my damp hair making sure to cover my roots through to my ends and then I just styled it in my usual way. I was to surprised to find that it actually reduces drying time which has been a lifesaver with thick hair I have found that I have done my hair a lot quicker than normal.  I would say this product is good for all hair types but especially thick hair.

You can also use it for a serum after styling but I would recommend only using a small amount if you are to do this. If you hair doesn’t have much volume and body then this product works really well I have found that I have had a lot more volume in my hair since I have been using this hair product, I was also really impressed with how it gives a smooth, silky finish without weighing down your hair!

Without a doubt I would recommend this to everyone who wants to get their hair in better condition and make it easier to style.

Armagan Hair Therapy Oil

(Hair therapy oil from http://www.amargan.co.uk/)

It does exactly what it says, it conditions your hair and scalp, leaves your hair smooth and in great condition without making it look greasy and it leaves hair frizz free for longer! I couldn’t be happier with this If I tried, I love it my hair was always dry and frizzy but after a couple of uses I could really tell the difference. To apply I just use a couple of pumps on my damp hair, spread it evenly through my hair and blow dried as normal. The smell is lovely it’s a light creamy oil scent that’s not to overpowering.

Its been so soft to touch which makes it so much easier to style, I have quite long thick hair and I must say I have been really impressed with how much better the condition of my hair is! I think it would be great for all kinds of hair as you can change how much of the product you use. The oil is available in a range of sizes; 10ml, 30ml and 100ml sizes this is a great idea if you want to try the product out before buying a bigger bottle you could go for the 10ml.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants shiny, smooth, frizz free hair as it is one of the best hair oils I have used.

Guest Post: Autumn/ winter must haves!

I'd like to start by giving a huge thanks to Gemma for letting me guest post on her blog, it's been a pleasure and Gemma has been absolutely great to work with, and so without further ado...

Autumn is now well and truly here in the Northen hemisphere and this means the beginning of putting away those Summer bikinis and light-as-a-feather dresses and opting for something a little warmer and cozier to resemble the start of Fall. We all know with a new season comes the inundation of new trends and fads in all things beauty and fashion related and at times it can be quite daunting. So here's a post to narrow those choices down and provide you with the absolute must-haves for this Autumn.

Get traditional with Tartan
Once an infamous fabric, tartan is hitting back with style and ease and with almost every designer and store selling their take on this comeback trend the options are endless! Here are some of my current favourites.

Tousled Tresses
An incredibly simple and sexy hair-do this Fall is messy and textured tresses which will take you less than five minutes to achieve. Include a quick run through with your fingers and a spritz of any of the following products and you will be good to go.

Matte Nails
Textured hair... but textured nails? That's right. A hot trend at the moment is matte nails and let me tell you this look is anything but dull. Matte nails flaunted recent international catwalks and luckily there is an abundant of products for you to attain the look.

Wine-hued Lips
The next best thing to a glass of red on a cool Autumn's night has to be matching your lips with the indulgent beverage. Wine-stain coloured lipstick has been a forever wearable and flattering shade and with every cosmetic brand budget-friendly to expensive stocking these gorgeous tones of deep red to plum you're bound to find one just right for you.

So there you have it! Fall's top trends for beauty, hair, nails and fashion. I hope you've enjoyed this post. Feel free to come say hello on my blog at Allure by Maddison, I'd love to meet you all!
