Life Update!

Hello everyone! Hope your all having a good week?

I thought today I would do a chatty post and just talk to you about what has been happening lately. My life has been so busy what with exams and college, I only have two more to go yippee! I cannot wait for them to finish and to be finally able to get my nights back, no more spending hours revising and trying to cram information in! Has anyone else had lots of exams or coursework?

I have felt like I have been on the go all the time at the moment but this year has been one of the best years of my life! I have felt like I have accomplished so many things and met some amazing people who will be friends for ever! I got to meet my first ever blogger Jenny from ever weird, it was by complete chance we met and I am so glad we did, we get on so well and if you haven't go check out her blog!

I have also made some great friends at college, I moved back in August 2013 to a completely new area and at first I felt very isolated and I didn't really know anyone and that first week at college I found so difficult, not because I didn't enjoy it.. because I love the course but because I was so worried what everyone would think of me, I soon realised there was nothing to be worried about and everyone was so nice but since Christmas I felt I have got to know then all so much better and I don't know what I would do without each and every one of them we are like a little family!

I also want to apologise for the lack of posts lately but with everything going on with exams, I have been pretty stressed out!

I hope you enjoyed reading this type of post and would love to know if you would like to see more on my blog? What have you been doing recently, let me know in the comments below!

Pastel Trends Wishlist - #Bloggersdoitbetter

One trend I have been loving recently is the pastel colours, its great for this time of year as it just brightens your wardrobe up and makes you feel all summery! Here Is my pastel trend wish list!
1)    This dress is from ASOS and is £65 I love the embroidered pattern in centre of the dress and the pale pink pastel colour is such a lovely colour – this one is definitely on my wish list!

2)    As soon as I saw these shoes I just LOVED them! They go perfectly with the dress and they would be great to pair with a skater skirt and a t-shirt or boyfriend jeans. These are from River Island and are £35.

3)    This bag is soo cute I love the scalloped detail around the edging of the bag and the style of the bag, its just one of those bags that I think would look great with anything! ASOS £18.50

4)    I think these are so cute and great for the summer, they just add a pop of colour to any outfit. £2 River Island.

5)    After finding the earrings I came across the matching Bracelet and for only £6 I think it’s a bargain, for only £8 you have a great set of accessories that are great for the summer!

HD Brows Palette - Foxy

Eyebrows are by far one of my favourite parts of a make up routine, It's amazing how much they can change how your face looks! I'm a bit obsessed with my brows I never used to be but recently I rarely leave the house without adding a bit of powder to them, I just feel more confident with the way they look after!

The HD Brows Palette is raved about in the blogosphere so I was so excited to try it out for myself! I have the palette in the shade 'Foxy' for light to medium  hair, but there is also Bombshell for fair hair and Vamp for darker hair.
I think the Foxy Palette is a great palette and one that would suit everyone, I have quite fair skin but darker eyebrows and the colour match is just spot on!

There's four shades included in the palette all four of which are matte and can be used for eyebrows or as an eyeshadow. There's a pale ivory/cream shade, a black, a warm toned brown and an ash toned brown. The shade I've been using on my brows is the warm brown (Bottom right in the palette) as I find this looks more natural and compliments my skin tone well.

All the powders are really pigmented which Is why I like this palette so much! And  I'm really impressed with the quality. To do my brows I only need the smallest amount of product, it comes with a brush which is really good but sometimes I prefer to use my own.

Have you ever tried the HD brow palette? Do you like using a powder on your brows?

Superdrug Haul!

If you've been reading my blog for a while you'll know when it comes to shopping, i might have a slight addiction.. But I think I speak for a lot of beauty bloggers here when I say that both these shops are basically death traps for us. We go in there wanting one or two items and come out with a hell of a lot more than we can normally afford to have!

So first off I went in looking for the Rimmel match perfection foundation, I had been after a new foundation for ages and I have read so many good things about this foundation so I thought why not give it a try? And I am so glad I did I have been loving the way it makes my skin look!

I then noticed that there was a buy 2 get a nail polish free so of course I have to take advantage of that and I ended up buying the Rimmel stay matte pressed powder, again I have read some great reviews so I had to try it out!

And because I brought those two I got this lovely nail polish free! Can't argue with that! I love this colour and can't wait to start wearing it!

The lady who helped me was so lovely and I started chatting to her telling her that I was a beauty blogger and was looking for a brush for my foundation and she recommended the Real Techniques expert face brush, I am so glad I purchased this as it really buffs my foundation in well!

I then asked her about skin care and she said she loved the B range and again it was on offer so I thought while I was there I might aswell save some money.. I definitely have an addiction! I got the exfoliating cleanser and micellar water and I must say I really really like them! They are great for combination skin types and I have really seen an improvement in my skin!

This next one was a bit of an impulse buy as I had been after a salt spray for ages and saw this one, I wasn't intending on buying it but again it was on offer and I couldn’t resist!

I then popped into Home Bargains quick and spotted these shine absorbing sheets and for 29p for 50 sheets I got them!

I would really appreciate if you could all vote for me one last time in the Company magazine awards, you can vote Here it only takes a few seconds and I'm on Page 6! Click on Touch Of Belle and that's it!

Miners Kiss me Quick review: #Bloggersdoitbetter

It's not often that I find a lipstick that I really love but this one has left me with a new favourite lipstick! This is a very daring shade.. especially for me because I normally stick to nude colours and pinks, I have never thought I would be able to pull this sort of colour off!

Kiss Me Quick* Is a lovely bright red lipstick with undertones of coral, it really complements my pale complexion, it is very bold and a bit in your face when you wear it for the first time but I have got used to that and just love it!

The quality of this lipstick is just amazing, the pigmentation is just incredible, the swatch on my hand was only 1 swipe.. you would never believe it! I was so impressed when I first tried it on it has a really nice formula and just glides onto your lips, it doesn't dry my lips out and the wear time is so good, it lasted around 5 hours before I saw the colour fade slightly but even then it left me with a toned down version!

I really can't recommend this lipstick enough! It retails at £3.99 and is available to purchase on the miners cosmetics website, or you can click here!
I was so impressed with this lipstick and It is one of my new favourites and for the price you really can't beat it!

Have you tried miners before? Let me know what you think below!

Miners cosmetics Spring 2014!

Miners Cosmetics are a UK based budget beauty brand, available both online and various chemists throughout the country, I was lucky enough to get to try out their top picks for Spring 2014*.I have to say, I am a fan of Miners Cosmetics for their purse friendly prices and on trend makeup products!

First up is a must have product for anyone looking for a fresh, matte powder that doesn't feel or look cakey on your skin. Miners Fresh Faced powder is only £3.99 Power is an absolute must for me what ever the weather as I like to set my foundation firmly in place and reduce the dreaded shine that always happens later in the day, but I definitely saw a difference this powder made, I didn’t get as much shine as normal but I still had to reapply to my chin!

The Matte effect lipstick in 'wonderland'  is a stunning shade and a brilliant long lasting finish for just £3.99, I have to say I absolutely love it. It's the perfect orange/red shade, and although I find orange/coral/red a difficult colour to pull off this one is definitely wearable and I like that despite being matte, it isn't drying on the lips, it actually feels really moisturising which really surprised me! They're great for adding a pop of colour and the matte texture creates a more wearable look during the daytime.

One thing I hadn't tried before was in the nail section from Miners. This Nail colour in Jezebel  is £2.99. The formula applies smoothly with an almost shine like gel finish which is lovely, the shade selection is also pretty good! Neon seems to be a big trend in fashion at the moment, The brush and formula is easy to work with, the colour is opaque in one coat (amazing!) and it dries pretty quickly to a glossy finish.

Finally I've been trying out Maxi Waterproof Mascara which is £3.49, I really like this mascara as it didn't make  my eyelashes feel crispy like some waterproof mascaras tend to, It did add colour, definition, curl and some length but I didn't find it very volumising or thickening, but for the price it is such a great product!

Have you ever tried anything from Miners before? Let me know in the comments below!
