Beauty UK compact face powder

Beauty UK Is a very affordable makeup brand I have reviewed their products before and love them! This powder* comes in 3 different shades light, medium and dark, I went for the light shade as my skin is very fair.

The compact comes with a mirror and puff which is useful for if you are on the go, I prefer to use a brush if I'm not on the go as it means I get a better coverage and the powder doesn't look patchy.

I think for powdering my t –zone this is a great product as it does reduce the shine and if I need to I can top it up throughout the day, for the rest of my face I do find it to be a little to cakey and heavy for my liking but I prefer a natural looking makeup but If you like a higher coverage powder then I think you would really like this!

The compact is a great size for popping in your bag to use on the go, I found the powder lasted around 3 hours before I needed to reapply to my t zone areas, The powder is £3.99 and can be brought online or in Superdrug stores I think for the price it is a good powder.

#Bloggersdoitbetter collections!

Hello I'm Gemma and I am a nail polish addict! I love nail polish and the amount of different colours you can get, I feel like nail polish can make an outfit by giving it a pop of colour! When I'm shopping I'm always drawn in to the amazing colours and different textures and styles that I often pop one into my shopping trolley!

I didn't set out to collect them as such but over the years I didn't quite notice how many I had! I also love the little caviar balls and have a tin of them! I think taking care of your nails is important aswell and always like to have a nail file to hand, this is just a fraction of what I own! But these are my favourite they came in a pack of 4 from Poundland!

My favourite polishes are in the picture below! I have recently started loving bright colours and am slowing collecting more – since taking this picture I have 4 more polishes!

I hope you have enjoyed this post! Let me know what you collect in the comments below!

Company Style Blogger awards 2014!

You may remember I made the shortlist for the Best International Blog Newcomer You may even have nominated and voted for me and if so thank you from the bottom of my heart.
didn't win but I was so chuffed to get to the last 10 and get the chance to experience the awards night and meet some other bloggers!
It was my very first blog event and I enjoyed it so much! After what seemed like ages getting ready it was time to make my way to the venue, after waiting in line they finally let us in! The venue was a warehouse in the East End but they had decorated it out nicely there was a balcony type area with a BBQ and Ice cream with little tables to sit and eat, in the other room it was all decorated in the theme with was festivals they even had deck chairs!
I was so anxious at first seeing how many people where they but luckily I met one of the loveliest bloggers Lauren and spent basically the whole event chatting to her!
Lauren is the one on the right

The awards started at around 8pm and went so fast! After we had a walk around got some metallic tattoos done by the lovely people at seekers of sun, they was quite a lot going on and so many people to talk to!
With Fun For Louis and Steve Booker

With the editor of Company Magazine Victoria White!

Beauty UK define FX mascara!

As you may already know I’m a huge fan of Beauty UK cosmetics and I’m super excited to able to share with you their new define FX mascara! Beauty UK cosmetics always have a great range of make up at bargain prices, everything is fantastic quality! what more could you ask for! Its available to buy both online and in Superdrug stores!

The first thing I noticed was the packaging it comes in a baby pink tube with a pink lid, I thought the packaging was really nice and a good size for my makeup bag, the brush is a plastic type wand which personally I really like as it means I can get each individual lash and doesn't leave them all clumpy!

It is really easy to build up the mascara and I only use 2 coats and I'm ready, I really like the way it feels on my lashes, some mascaras make my eyes itch and just feel really heavy but I didn’t have this problem with Beauty UK's mascara.
The formula of the mascara isn't drying or too watery I would say its just the right consistency to be able to build it up!

Miners Tin o Tints

Recently miners cosmetics very kindly sent me one of their limited edition NVS tin O tints, if your not familiar with who NVS are, they are a 5 piece group made up by Tess, Harri, Declan, Axel and Danny, I must admit I had never heard of them before but they did support JLS on their Goodbye tour and will be supporting x factor winners little mix in their tour this year, their tour is being sponsored by miners cosmetics!

I received the shade watermelon which costs £2.99 and is available to purchase on the Miners website. Watermelon is one of my favourite tastes so couldn’t wait to smell it! It really smells like watermelon and I could sit here all day just smelling it!

The packaging is so cute, it comes in a small tin, like the name suggests, and is very handy for popping in your bag, the lid is also very sturdy and stays on well, so I know that If I do take it on the go I won't have lip balm everywhere – which is always a bonus!

The balm is very moisturising and leaves my lips feeling soft and smooth, the colour payoff is really good and it leaves your lips with a hint of coral which is very wearable and would suit most skin tones!

Have you tried any of the Tin O Tints before? What shades do you have? Let me know below!

Beauty UK Prime FX Primer

I think primers can be a bit hit and miss in the way that what might work for some doesn't for others I must say I am quite fussy with the feel of primers and at first I was a little reluctant to try them, but I am so glad I did!

This comes out perfectly clear and I have to say a little bit goes a long way! It has a gel like feel to it which at first I wasn't too sure on but now after a few weeks of use I don't mind it! I wouldn't say this has a matte finish but does help minimise pores and leaves you skin feeling incredibly smooth.

I was concerned that by using a primer it would clog my pores up and give me a breakout but so far I have only had a few – which happens anyway so I can't say that the primer did or didn't cause this. I only apply the primer to areas I know that I need it so my t zone, and patches on my cheeks.

In terms of making my foundation last a little longer It does work as a primer, just maybe not if you want something that holds for a long long time, my makeup managed to stay from around 8am in the morning to around 6pm in the evening which for me is perfect, towards to end of the day I did notice patches where I didn't have as much makeup but this isn't noticeable unless someone is actually looking for it!

This is such an affordable option at only £3.99 its an absolute bargain! Have you tried anything from Beauty UK? Let me know what you think in the comments below!
