Save money on Washing your makeup brushes!

There are so many cleansers and lotions out there to clean your makeup brushes, but they all have the same purpose… to clean your brushes! Makeup brushes hold so much bacteria so not washing them regularly can lead to break outs and I mean who wants to be using a brush that is basically spreading bacteria around your face?!

Its one of those tasks that you can never be bothered to do but you need to do it! I wash my brushes on a weekly basis, but why spend a fortune on a brush cleaning product when you can use something you probably use at home!

Baby shampoo, its £1.75 from boots or a local supermarket and it works a treat! All I do is use a small dollop in the palm of my hand, run the bus under warm water and then swirl the brush on my hand, I do this until the water runs clear, then place them  lying down to dry.  You don't have to use baby shampoo, you can use any gentle shampoo you have!

What do you clean your makeup brushes with? Let me know in the comments!

10 things every pale girl goes through!

I don’t mind be pale and having pale skin its just the things that go along with it!
1.    You can never find a foundation that matches you 100% most foundations don't go that pale!

2.    You could have just come back from 4 weeks in the Caribbean and still come back as pale as you left!

3.    You get sunburnt while sitting in the shade AND wearing suncream… why?

4.    You go through so much suncream in the summer!

5.    People always hold out their arm to compare how good a tan they have got.. like thanks for that!

6.    The amount of people who recommend you get tan products get a little tiring after the 10th time.

7.    Having makeup free days and looking even paler.

8.    People asking you on makeup free days if you are feeling okay and that you are looking a bit under the weather. No I'm just not wearing Makeup.

9.    My skin goes red after any kind of skin care and it can last for hours… literally hours.

10. Any nude lipstick you know to stay clear, I don’t want to end up looking like a walking zombie thank you!

Do you have pale skin and can relate? Have I missed anything out? Let me know in the comments!

The wanderlust Tag!

I love to travel so when I saw this tag I thought it would be perfect! I hope you enjoy reading some of my answers!

1.    Where was your first plane to?
This may seem really strange to some of you…. But I have never actually been on a plane! I have done so much travelling but I have always gone by cruises/ boats!

2.    Where have you travelled to that you would love to visit again?
This is a very tricky question! All the countries I have visited I have loved but I would say Russia! It is one of the most beautiful countries, I have been twice now and loved it each time! I also love Scandinavian countries and honestly think they are my favourite countries to visit! But every country I have visited I would go back to in a heartbeat!

3.    Your leaving tomorrow, money is no object, where are you going?
A world cruise! It is my dream to do a world cruise, you get to see some many amazing places and I would never pass up the opportunity! And then after that if money was no object I would visit every country!

4.    Preferred method of travelling?
Cruise/ boats, I love cruising and the atmosphere it gives there is something really special about it!

5.    Top 3 travel items?
My camera and endless amounts of memory cards! Then suncream and a good pair of shoes, I love to just walk around on holiday and explore new places so I like to have good shoes that are easy to walk in!

6.    Favourite travel website?
I love looking at cruise Facebook pages? That is probably really sad haha but I love seeing where the cruises have been where they are going and on some of their websites you can watch the boat sailing which I find really interesting to just sit and watch! Other than that I would say Instagram and then looking at holiday pictures!

7.    Where would you travel just to eat the food?
There isn't really one place that stands out but Italy for the pizza, pasta and icecream! I would never choose a destination based on the food!

8.    Is there a place you would never go back to?
No there really isn't every place I have enjoyed for different reasons, some I enjoyed more than others but If I had the chance again I would go back to every single one!

9.    Can you recite your passport number?
Never in 100 years! I don't think I have even looked at it properly haha!

10. Do you prefer the windo, aisle or middle seat?
I have never been on a plane before so don't know which is the best, but If I ever went on a plane I would choose the window as you get to look at the pretty views!

I really enjoyed doing this tag and It has made me think about places I would like to go in the future and reflect on the places I have already visited but it has definitely made me want to travel more! If you want to do this tag, please send me the link in the comments to your post!

20 Girl Problems!

I thought I would do something a little different today and make a list of 20 girl problems that are very real!

1.    One eyebrow looks better than the other and you can never get them exactly right!

2.    Wearing something white and getting the dreaded foundation line on your top.

3.    Your going away for a weekend but you may just need those 9 dresses, 4 jeans, 3 jumpers and 5 different tops… you know just in case!

4.    You have brought thousands of bobby pins but you can never find any.

5.    Running out of all your makeup at exactly the same time.. how?!

6.    Painting your nails and needing to go to the toilet as soon as you finish and ending up with nail varnish everywhere!

7.    Looking through your jam packed wardrobe and saying "But I have nothing to wear"

8.    You do your hair perfectly only to go outside and have it ruined by mother nature.

9.    You always have a hair band on your wrist apart from the days you actual need one.

10. You have spent ages doing your makeup and while your applying your mascara you just happen to sneeze and ruin everything you have spent the last hour doing.

11. You can never match your eyeliner.

12. Having to shave/ wax your legs because you are going out.

13. Going to boots/superdrug for 1 thing and coming out with 10+ items and £50 lighter!

14. You have a long wishlist of MAC lipsticks.

15. Having to buy tights all the time as no matter how careful you are and no amount of nail polish you always manage to get a ladder.

16. Wearing lipstick/ gloss on a windy day is never a good thing.

17. Loosing one of your favourite earrings.

18. Trying to eat healthy and fit into those new jeans you brought but your heart Is saying Pizza, Cake, Ice cream and every other unhealthy food in your house!

19. When you find some cute shoes in the sale that will go with that new dress you just brought but finding out they don't have your size.

20. Moulting hair and finding it everywhere.

Can you relate to any of the above? Are they any major problems I have left out? Let me know in the comments!

5 Ways to make you happy!

I thought today I would share just a fun little post about ways to make yourself happy on a daily basis, these are things I do that make me feel good about myself!

1.    Smile!
I love being cheerful and happy and just generally being positive about myself and others, even if you don't feel happy smiling is a way to almost trick yourself into feeling happy! It can also make people around you happy, if they see you smiling they are more likely to smile too!

2.    Find motivation!
I would say I am naturally quite a motivated person I always have that get up and go drive and when someone says I can't do it I will always say "Watch me I will prove you wrong" and I do, Its something that I think if you can find motivation will give you that kick start and motivate you to gain more, there is nothing better than the fact when someone says you won't do something and you turn round and achieve it, it is honestly one of the best feelings in the world.

3.    Exercise!
You don't have to go crazy and go on a massive gym session, I mean get up and go for a walk by the beach or to somewhere you love, getting out and about can really lift my mood! You could go dancing with your friends, cycling, hiking the list is endless! Don't just sit around all day get out!

4.    Surround yourself with people who make you happy!
And I don't mean spend all day on twitter speaking to bloggers, interact with people outside of the internet! Why not give that friend you haven't seen in a while a call and see if they want to go shopping? Spend days with family or friends or whoever it is that makes you happy!

5.    Go outside
Just getting some fresh air each day instead of being stuck inside all day can really do you the world of good, you might not want to get out of your nice warm bed but trust me you will feel better if you do!

I hope some of these will help! Let me know what you do to make yourself happy!

Tanya Burr Lipgloss - Heart skipped a beat

First of all I really like the packaging of Tanya's lipglosses, it is a slim design making it perfect for popping in your handbag for use on the go.

I have the shade Heart skipped a beat (£6.99) although in the packaging it looks like as a pinky red but more on the red side, I was surprised when I tried it out that Its more of a pink, which I actually preferred as I think it suits me better.

I think the colour pay off is amazing, I thought It wouldn't have much pigmentation to it but I was pleasantly surprised, the lipgloss is really moisturising and gives off almost a "Wet look" I found the doefoot applicator to be really easy and effective to use and picked up just the right amount of product.

This does have tiny little shimmers in, but you can't feel them on your lips which I really like as it adds a bit of something extra to your lips! I think you can wear this lipgloss on its own or on top of a lipstick both work really well and the lipgloss has a good staying power compared to most lipglosses I have tried I found it lasts around 3 - 4 hours before it starts to fade, but towards the end of the day I can still see a trace of the dark pink colour but it isn't as noticeable.

Have you tried any of Tanya burr's lipgloss range? What did you think? Let me know in the comments below!

My Study Tips!

Its coming up where a lot of you are starting to get a lot of exams and assessments, I know I did when I was at school and now at college I am coming up to my final project! I thought today I would share some of my study tips that will hopefully help a few of you!
1.       Take regular breaks!
Trying to cram everything in won't work, stay relaxed and do little bits at a time. I used to do 30 minutes of study and then 4 minute breaks.

2.       Have a revision timetable!
I like to plan and know what I'm doing that way I am less likely to forget to revise certain topics/ areas, one website I found extremely helpful while doing my exams was http://getrevising.co.uk/ it has resources that help with different subjects, it also allows you to make your own revision timetable

3.       Keep hydrated and eat well

Throughout my exams I found it hard to make sure I ate well not because I didn't want to but because I was so worried if I didn't spend all my time revising I wouldn't do well, you need to make sure you eat the recommend amount a day and keep drinking lots of water, It helps to keep you healthy. I would also recommend having polos or tick tacs while you are studying, I found this really helpful and in our exam we were allowed sweets as long as they didn't have the packets so by having sweets in exams that I had when I was revising just made me make links… I'm not sure if this was just me though!

Benefit Porefessional

Today I am going to be reviewing one of my favourite pore minimisers and primers, Benefit Porefessional. First of all as with all of Benefit's products I love the packaging! It’s a small little tube which is such a handy size for my makeup bag. As it’s a primer I normally put my moisuturiser on and then put this over the top and then continue with my normal makeup routine; Foundation concealer, powder, etc. This really works wonders and does exactly what it says it will!

I only use a pea sized amount and mainly put in on my T-zone and a little bit on my cheeks, it is a very lightweight balm like consistency that glides on easily and makes my skin feel really soft, I found that it keeps my makeup on a lot longer throughout the day then it would normally, but also I get quite an oily T-zone and I have found that by using this it helps to keep me shine free. It helps create a much more even tone when I apply my makeup and can notice on my slightly larger pores that they have been reduced. If you have oily skin Porefessional is also oil free so Its great for people with oily skin too!

It’s a little on the pricey side at £24.50, which may seem like a lot just for a primer but I would say it is definitely worth it, I think it is especially good if you have oily skin as it helps to keep it under control and limit the amount of shine you get in your T-zone.

Have you tried Porefessional? What's your favourite primer? Let me know down below!
