I have been meaning to write a review of Rimmel Match
perfection foundation for a while now, I have been using it for over a year and
have mentioned it in so many posts. The foundation comes in 10 different shades
and I went for the lightest one 010 Light Porcelain, on my hand it looked a lot
darker but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and brought it anyway, when I
tried it on my face I was really pleasantly surprised! Its not 100% my colour
but it is hardly noticeable. I found it has a pink undertone.
Formula wise it is a typical liquid foundation that works
well if you use a brush or your fingers, I find it easier to use a brush so
that I can buff it into my skin and give an even finish, I don't find it to be
a particularly full coverage, I would say it is a medium coverage but still
covers redness (I get quite a lot of redness and it works well at hiding it)
small blemishes and other imperfections. I would say my skin type is normal to
oily and I find it works well and lasts for around 7 hours and doesn’t settle
into any fine lines.
I would say that this foundation gives a natural finish,
but isn't matte or overly dewy. The only slight issue I have is that I find
them to be sticky on my skin after I have applied it and once it has settled it
doesn't feel sticky anymore, I don't know if this is the same with all of
Rimmel foundations as this is the only one I have tried.
For £6.99 for 30ml I think that this is a brilliant
foundation and one I wear on a daily basis, it is also really affordable and I
find the bottle lasts a good couple of months.
Have you tried this foundation before? What did you think
of it? Let me know your thoughts below!

I actually use the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation with the Match Perfection concealer, so I've always meant to try the Match Perfection foundation and see if I prefer it. What always puts me off though is trying to get the shade right! It's so tricky but I suppose it's worth it once you have the 'perfect match' (ahahahaaaa) x
ReplyDeleteI have never tried Rimmel Wake me up foundation before! I'm not sure it would be the right foundation for me though as I don't really like a sticky feeling foundation and when I tried it in boots it was quite sticky. Haha loving the joke ;) I do find it one of the best foundations to match up for me and they do have quite a wide range of shades!
