Breakfast Smoothie - Banana And Strawberry

I am loving smoothies right now and have been experimenting to find the perfect smoothie recipe so when a packet of my protein breakfast smoothie came through my door I was extremely excited to try it out! I received the flavour Banana and strawberry* which really appealed to me as I love both bananas and strawberry’s!

This smoothie has added protein in so it’s a great filling breakfast to start off your day; the smoothie comes in a small packet. To make the smoothie you add 250ml of either cold water or milk and then add the smoothie mix and shake to make sure it is smooth in consistency, it then says to leave in the fridge to sit before you can drink it!

At first I was really surprised because the shake was green but then I soon realised that aswell as the banana and strawberry there were also green veg in there too, when I did try it I wasn’t sure on the taste it is very very sweet so if you don’t like a sweet shake then this isn’t for you but if you do have a sweet tooth then it might be worth giving this a go, I did try adding oats to mix it up a bit which did take some of the sweetness away.

In terms of keeping me full till around lunch it does do its job to a certain extent, I did find myself feeling a bit peckish at around 10:30 but it was nothing like being starving for lunch! I do think this is a reasonably quick breakfast and is a good source of protein if you haven’t got time to make eggs in the morning!

This shake is available from my protein for 92p for the one sachet, which Is okay but does work out more expensive to cereal.

My Protein Double chocolate virtue bar:

I am back with another review of my protein, I have been on a health kick recently and trying to get fitter and just feel better in myself, my protein got in contact and asked if I would try some of their products so I thought it would be a good way to try some new healthy snacks, I have already reviewed a few on my blog which you can see in previous blog posts.

In todays post I will be giving my thoughts on the double chocolate virtue bar, the cost for one bar is 99p which compared to normal chocolate bars is a little more pricey but it does have a lot of goodness added!

When I first opened the bar I wasn’t really sure on what it would taste like as it didn’t look that appealing but anyway I gave it a go and was really surprised it tastes just like a normal chocolate breakfast bar would taste like, they are quite sweet which I liked and did leave me feeling fuller than I did before!

I think I would try these again and actually preferred them to some chocolate bars I have tried!

My Protein review:

I love having a healthy snack alternative to crisps and chocolate bars but something that isn’t just plain fruit, so when my protein got in touch with me about reviewing some of their products I jumped at the chance!

I do have a nut allergy so unfortunately I couldn’t try these so instead I gave the job to my sister and dad to try them out and here is what they had to say:

The taste was nice but not something I would normally reach for myself on the shelf (I am more of a plain chocolate type of gal) but anyway I did give it a go, I did enjoy it to some extend but I’m not a fan of nuts and found it was quite an overpowering taste and I couldn’t really taste the caramel. The texture was soft and quite light but the taste just wasn’t for me personally, I think if it had a sweeter taste and the caramel was a bit stronger I think I would have enjoyed it more.

I don’t think I would get these again in the caramel peanut but they do have a cookies and cream flavour which I would love to try out!

top tips to a healthy blog lifestyle

I thought today I would share some of my top tips to a healthy blogging lifestyle, blogging can be stressful at times and there are some ways I have found that make it easier!

Don't compare yourself to others – this is so important to consider when your blogging, everyone has to start somewhere and like the saying goes "Rome wasn't built in a day" Blogging is meant to be fun and when you start to compare your blog it takes all the fun away from it!

Don't put pressure on yourself – most people won't notice if you haven't blogged for a few days, there is no need to apologize or feel pressure to post every day of the week (If you do that’s amazing!) but remember we do all have lives outside of blogging and this isn't our job! Post as and when you can and you will feel better for it!

Don't be afraid to take a break – everyone needs a break and sometimes it can you do a world of good, take a break from social media and blogging and just have a bit of "ME" time.. you are allowed too!

Be honest and be yourself – Honesty is the best policy, people are reading your blog to get an honest opinion on  product, if you don't like a product don't pretend to love it and write an amazing review just because it was a PR sample.. you won't be doing anybody any justice. If you get a PR sample and don't like it email the company and say you won't be doing an post on the product and then say why. Also don't start a blog for money or the "freebies" blogging isn't an easy ride and takes a lot of time and effort in each blog post what started out as one free product turned out to be several hours of hard work, it really annoys me when people think it takes 5 minutes to get a post written up, 1 post can take me hours to write, photograph and then promote.. it isn't easy!

Have fun and be proud – Blogging is an amazing thing and I have met so many people through blogging that I wouldn't have met normally, you should also be extremely proud of yourself for blogging and keeping to it, I won't lie I did keep my blog to myself for the first few months and only now I am starting to feel fully confident in telling people in my blog, I would say go for it, if you love it then why shouldn't you share it!

Beauty things I'm not good at!

I love all things beauty and that is what my main focus on my blog is but as much as I love it and use nearly everyday there are two main things that well I'm just not very good at!

Painting my nails
I love love love having my nails painted and having a pretty colour on my nails but I am just so impassioned waiting for my nails to dry or I paint them and the second I finish I need the toilet! I also never "Get round" to taking my chipped nail polish off!

Washing my makeup brushes
This is one of those mundane jobs that you know need doing but just never get round to do it! Don't get me wrong I do wash them on a regular basis but just keep putting it off!
