I thought today I would share some of my top tips to a
healthy blogging lifestyle, blogging can be stressful at times and there are
some ways I have found that make it easier!
Don't
compare yourself to others – this is so important to consider when your
blogging, everyone has to start somewhere and like the saying goes "Rome
wasn't built in a day" Blogging is meant to be fun and when you start to
compare your blog it takes all the fun away from it!
Don't
put pressure on yourself – most people won't notice if you haven't blogged
for a few days, there is no need to apologize or feel pressure to post every
day of the week (If you do that’s amazing!) but remember we do all have lives
outside of blogging and this isn't our job! Post as and when you can and you
will feel better for it!
Don't
be afraid to take a break – everyone needs a break and sometimes it can you
do a world of good, take a break from social media and blogging and just have a
bit of "ME" time.. you are allowed too!
Be
honest and be yourself – Honesty is the best policy, people are reading
your blog to get an honest opinion on
product, if you don't like a product don't pretend to love it and write
an amazing review just because it was a PR sample.. you won't be doing anybody
any justice. If you get a PR sample and don't like it email the company and say
you won't be doing an post on the product and then say why. Also don't start a
blog for money or the "freebies" blogging isn't an easy ride and
takes a lot of time and effort in each blog post what started out as one free
product turned out to be several hours of hard work, it really annoys me when
people think it takes 5 minutes to get a post written up, 1 post can take me
hours to write, photograph and then promote.. it isn't easy!
Have
fun and be proud – Blogging is an amazing thing and I have met so many
people through blogging that I wouldn't have met normally, you should also be
extremely proud of yourself for blogging and keeping to it, I won't lie I did
keep my blog to myself for the first few months and only now I am starting to
feel fully confident in telling people in my blog, I would say go for it, if
you love it then why shouldn't you share it!
Do you have anything you would add? Let me know in the

ReplyDeleteI think taking a break is important - I've never needed to but I have the confidence that if I needed to, I would.

Its great you have never needed too! But breaks can be really useful as it gives you time to think and then come back refreshed!
