Batiste Oomph my Locks review

Oomph my locks* is said to “Take your hair to new heights” basically this spray does exactly what it says on the can, it seems to thicken out my hair and adds a lot of volume to my hair! It is great if you are going for a night out or want to add a bit more volume to your hair and it can’t be faulted for that.

Again similar to the Smooth Frizz tamer it has quite a sweet smell but this one isn’t very strong at all. The one downside to this product is, as with a lot of many other hair products, it does build up and wont come out until you wash your hair again so I normally wash my hair every 2-3 days so normally use this on the 3rd day if I’m going out as I find I have to wash my hair after using it. It also does give your hair that crispy texture on your hair but it does lift if you brush your hair back through.

Again as with every other Batiste products I just love the design of the can and think it looks really nice on a dresser table. I also think this would make a nice little stocking filler.

This product is £4.29 and can be purchased from most boots stores. I would recommend this product, it does what it says it would and I can’t fault it for the volume aspect.

Batiste Smooth it Frizz

I have medium length very thick hair and it does have a tendency to go frizzy! The Smooth it Frizz Tamer* costs £4.49 and is available from most boots stores.

The spray is very fine and has a sweet smell which if you are someone who isn’t a fan of sweet smells I would recommend giving it a smell first as it is quite a heavy smell that stays for about 30 minutes and then clears. I personally like sweet smells so for me it wasn’t a problem.

I would say that this has helped improve my hair and I have noticed a difference if I’m going out somewhere nice but on a day to day bases where my hair will be faced with all the weather conditions (This is England we are talking about!) as soon as I step outside my front door my hair is normally ruined by the wind anyway so I prefer to use it on a more special occasion.

Batiste Hold Me Hairspray

Batiste is well known for its amazing dry shampoo which I’m sure if you have read my blog for a while now you will know that I love it!! Today I am going to be reviewing their Hold me Hairspray*

What I really love about this hairspray compared to most others I have tried is that the spray is really fine and means you don’t end up with one clump of hairspray that makes your hair sticky and look horrible! It gives a very natural hold but does last extremely well, I have a full fringe and struggle to find a perfect hairspray that does its job without the dreaded curtains halfway through the day but this is the best I have tried at holding my hair in place!

This product costs £4.49 and is available at most boots stores, this hairspray also contains Keratin and Inca Inchi oil which is said to make your hair shiny and add some extra moisture back into you hair, this makes it perfect for people like me who are too lazy to use lots of different products in my hair so having 2 combined is great!

Let me know in the comments if you have tried this product before and if you have any other hair product recommendations!

Why I love Christmas shopping!

I just love Christmas, I am one of those people who go all out at Christmas and I'm not ashamed to admit I probably go a bit to far and some people do think I'm a bit crazy but hey ho can't please everyone! One of my all time favourite things about Christmas is going Christmas shopping! This year I have been so busy with university that I haven't really had any free time until now so I have been making the most of it! I thought today I would share some of the things I love about Christmas shopping!

1. This mainly applies to Christmas markets, which are my favourite thing to visit at Christmas, but the smell of all the crepes, cinnamon and all the other "Christmas spices" mixed into one and the general atmosphere of going is all happy and very festive!

2. Making a day of it, I always put a weekend by in December to get all my Christmas shopping done and I normally go out with my family or a few of my friends. I just love browsing and just being chilled out about shopping rather than being in a mad rush I like to make a day out of it. I always pop into Costa and get a festive drink in their Christmas mugs (which I am loving this year!)

3. Christmas lights and decorations - I love it when all the shops start to decorate it just puts me in such a good mood while I'm shopping.

4. Last but by no means least is Christmas music, at this time of year pretty much every shop you go into are playing the Christmas songs and I just love it!! I brought 6 (Yes 6!!) Christmas CD's for my car and it has been the best decision!

I hope you liked this post, let me know in the comments what your favourite thing about Christmas shopping is!

Garnier Micellar Cleansing water review!

This little product is amazing!! I cannot express how much over the last few months I have fell in love with it (That kind of sounds a bit sad!) I know I have heard and seen a lot of people ranting and raving about this but I never saw the big deal and so never gave into the hype.

I have the small version which is 125ml and is perfect if you are going away and don’t want to take a big bottle, it cost me 90p from body care and I have even seen them on offer in Home bargains for 75p which I must say I brought most of the stock left!

It has no fragrance so is perfect for sensitive skin types like me and it doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky. It is perfect for taking makeup off and gets even my waterproof mascara off in no time, I also like to use it in the morning to freshen my skin up and make me feel more awake.

I think the reason I love this product so much is because it is so simple but yet effect, it is easy to use and takes no time. I have been travelling a bit recently and it works wonders if you don’t have time to properly take your makeup off with water and oil cleaners.

Have you tried this product before? Let me know in the comments below and give me your recommendations that you think I should try next!

Why Hello December!

I cannot believe how quickly this year has gone! It just seems to have flown by. December is my favourite time of the year and I love counting down the days till Christmas! I thought I would share some of my favourite things about December!

Christmas D├ęcor:
I love decorating my house all festive and getting my fairy lights and other Christmas decorations out is one of my favourite things to do!

Christmas Films:
I just LOVE Christmas films! I could spend all day watching them and often I do!

 Christmas music:

Listening to festive music really gets me into the Christmas spirit and although I do start listening to it in November (No I’m not ashamed!) It is acceptable to listen to it all the time in December! I will be putting together a list of my favourite Christmas songs!

My Birthday!
My birthday is 21st December and this year I will be 19, I love having my birthday and Christmas so close as it makes it a really fun time of the year and I get to spend the whole month doing my favourite things!

Christmas candles:
Anyone who knows me knows that my favourite Christmas candle is Yankee Christmas cookie! It is a very sweet smell and reminds me of Christmas baking, I also love their candy cane candle too!

Hot drinks:
Christmas is the perfect time to have a nice warm hot chocolate with Whipped Cream and marshmallows and I love making homemade hot chocolate using chocolate bars… it is to die for!

Let me know in the comments what you love about Christmas!
