2015, My year in Review

This past year has been a pretty good year. I cannot believe how fast it has flown by. Things have changed so much for me in the last year and its crazy to see how far I have come and what I have achieved over the year. Of course it has had its ups and downs but the ups by far outweigh them. I thought it would be fun just to have a look back and share some of the highlights with you.

College:
Back in may I finished college and I was in a bit of a dilemma about what to do after I had finished. At college I studied photography and everyone was pushing me into continuing to do it as a degree but it just didn’t feel right to me. These were a really tough few months for me and I didn’t feel like myself. I left college with A*’s and was really proud of that. I made so many friends at college and had a great time.

The first week in September was one of the busiest times for me, in the space of 3 days three amazing things happened! A lot all changed at once and it was a lot of pressure at first!

My Job:
Another main highlight for me was getting my job in August I managed to get a job working at my local bonmarche and I started in September. I honestly love waking up to go to work and all my work friends are lovely and it’s just got such a lovely atmosphere. It has made me so happy and is the nicest job I could have asked for. The customers are lovely and I love finding out about each person who comes in.

University:
Just before the deadline for UCAS I found a course which really stood out to me and I knew it would be so interesting and “me” So I applied… and got accepted! So this September I started my degree in British Sign Language and Deaf Studies which I absolutely love, I have learnt so much already and have made some great friends along the way. I cannot wait to see how it progresses in the New Year!

Passing my driving test!
This was by far my biggest highlight from the year on the 10th September I passed my driving test!! And I had not one but two examiners with me, which at first put me off, but I was just so relived to pass! Then in October I got my own car, which is a purple Nissan Micra , I love having my own independence and I don’t have to rely on my parents anymore or have to wait for ages for public transport!

These are the main highlight for me, they might not seem like a lot but they have made me so happy. I have had a lot of down moments too, I am only human but I don’t like to dwell to much on those. I am really looking forward to 2016 and all it has to offer, I will be doing a post on my new years resolutions so keep an eye out for that!

What has been your favourite memory of 2015?

  1. Aw this is really lovely to read, sounds like you had a fab year. I think my favourite memory would have to be passing my final exams and getting into university, which sounds quite standard but it really meant a lot to me! I'm hoping to pass my driving test this year too but I doubt it'll happen to be honest ahahaha x

  2. Kudos on graduating college with A's, on your job, on passing your driving test, and on being accepted at UCAS and working toward a degree in British Sign Language and Deaf Studies, and on acquiring your purple Nissan Micra. I initially drew a blank whilst trying to think of my favourite memories from 2015. I've come across some wonderful bloggers online, some pretty fashions, tasty foods, and discovered NetFlix. Maybe that contributed to having less memories? Speaking of Sign Language and Deaf Studies I did watch the series "Switched at Birth" on NetFlix. Have a fashion-tastic year 2016!
