Because I'm happy!

I know how easy it is to get caught up in the stresses of general everyday life and forget about the little things that can make a difference each day, its scary to think how quick each day goes so I thought I would share some of the little things that have made me happy this week!

-          Talking to friends, one of my best friends lives quite a way from me so we always take time to talk to each other and skype all the time!

-          Taking late night walks along the beach

-          Saving up for my holiday!

-          Spending time with my family, since breaking up from college for summer I have got to spend so much more time with my family and I have really been enjoying it!

-          Getting post! I love getting post!

-          Sunny weather, although the sun doesn't like me (I get sunburnt all the time) It makes a change from the typical English weather!

-          Reading lovely comments and tweets! I spend most weekends going through and replying to comments I love it and appreciate each and everyone of you who takes the time to post a comment it really means so much to me!

- Finishing my first year of college with top marks!

-          Getting into my summery dresses!

-          Painting my nails a bright colour

-          Having movie nights with my sister!

So these are some of the little things that have made me happy this week! I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what has made you happy this week!

Clarins Toning Lotion

I'm a big fan of toner, I never used to be but now I find it a great way to cleanse and refresh my skin.

I apply this toner by putting it on cotton pads and smoothing it over my face and neck, I normally use two small pads in the morning to make sure my skin feels clean and refreshed! The bottle has a small opening at the top which makes it easy to control the amount you want to use

My normal toner contains alcohol and find it dries out my skin, but the clarins toner is alcohol free and my skin feels amazing and refreshed after I use it! I use this twice a day, in the morning before I moisturize and in the evening to make sure my skin is clean before I go to bed.

The smell is very fresh and not too overpowering, this toner has now become one of my staple products in my skin care regime

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has combination or oily skin and I have really noticed a difference with the way my skin looks and feels, it looks a lot more healthy. You can get this product online from Chemist Direct http://www.chemistdirect.co.uk/  for £14.19 it is on the pricy side but I think it is worth it as I have really seen a difference in how my skin appears, here is the direct link to the product click here. http://www.chemistdirect.co.uk/clarins-toning-lotion-combination-oily-skin/prd-12gd

Have you tried this product or something similar before? Let me know in the comments!

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

So for those of you who aren't familiar with the Dermalogica daily Microfoliant* , it is a gentle "Daily" Exfoliant.. the clue is in the name! But I say "Daily" because I only use it twice/ three times a week, I personally find using it daily is too much for my skin but its up to you how many times you use it.

I have been using it for around 9 months now and really like the way it makes my skin appear, I just feel so refreshed after I have used it and it leaves my skin looking healthier. After I have used it my skin does feel tight but not for very long, its not uncomfortable but it is noticeable.

I haven't used a face scrub like this before, it has no micro beads and comes in a powder form, at first I wasn't too sure about using this as I didn't think it would work but it gently buffs away any dead skin and leaves my skin a lot brighter, it has tea tree in it and I find this helps with any blemishes or if I have any breakouts.

To use you just add some water to the powder and rub until it lathers and foams up. What I like about this product is that it doesn't have a scratchy feel to it like some exfoliators. I think it would be great for any skin type I have combination skin with some dry patches and find it has really helped buff away and dry, flaky skin I have.

The only down fall is the price for a 75g container it costs £41.50 and is available from Beauty 900 http://beauty900.co.uk/dermalogica-daily-microfoliant-75g which is quite expensive but you only need a tiny amount of product and if your not using it daily it lasts so long!

Blending sponge review

My favourite thing about the blending sponge is the flawless finish that it gives to my foundation. I have never achieved such a natural effect with any other applicator before.

I also love that it works with all liquid products- foundation, highlighter, concealer and cream blush, it has a bigger end which is great for my forehead, cheeks and chin and a pointed end which is perfect for reaching those hard to get areas like eyes and  around my nose.

It's really easy to use, you have to dampen the sponge, and it will expand to a bit bigger than the original size, if you used to sponge when it was dry, it would just absorb all of the product, trust me I tried it! I like to apply a pump of my foundation onto the back of my hand, dot it around my face and blend it with the Beauty Blender, you can also apply the foundation straight to the sponge and then apply if you prefer. The sponge is very soft I use a patting  motion to start with and then circular motions just to buff it all into my skin.

The only thing that brings the product down is trying to clean it, I use warm water and baby shampoo but find if you leave it a while without washing the sponge it becomes very difficult to keep it clean so I would recommend cleaning it every couple of days to keep it clean!

Have you tried the Blending sponge before? Have you used something similar before?

Q&A post with Niamh!

Hello today I'm joined by my lovely July advertiser Niamh to do a Q&A post!

1. Why did you start your blog?
I started my blog because I wanted to meet new people and share my views to the world.

2. What is your favourite thing to blog about?
I love blogging about new products I bought, especially if I'm doing a product review.

3. How old are you?
I'm 12 years old - some say too young to blog, however my family and friends accept what I do and know that I enjoy it and have a fairly big following.

4. What's the reason behind your blog name?
My family always call me 'miss niamh', whenever I see them they call that out - then I decided to pop an 'I' on the end as that is the start letter of my surname, and it seemed to stick!

5. Favourite food?
my favourite food is fish and chips, I love it so much and it is typically British ;)

6. What do you do outside of blogging?
I am a very sporty person, I regularly do swimming club where I compete at galas, and I also take part in gymnastics and athletics. I'm also on the cross country team at school, so you could say I'm pretty active!

7. Who are your favourite bloggers?
I have a few favourite bloggers, but a few are Zoella, Sprinkle Of Glitter, Tanya Burr, WishWishWish and Couture Girl (yes I know some of these have proper names however these are their blog names)

8. Mascara or foundation?
Mascara by far - I rarely use foundation, I much prefer concealer.

9. If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 things would you take with you?
Ooh, tough one. Probably my phone, a concealer and my glasses because I can't see without them!

10. Top 3 Products?
my top 3 products are the L'oreal le corrector concealer, the collection Mardi Gras lipbalm and the Naked 3 pallete!

Beanies Coffee review!

Normally I'm a tea kind of girl, I still like coffee Its just sometimes the taste can be too strong for me. I was recently offered some Beanies Instant coffee to review*, but unlike your normal standard coffee these were flavoured so I thought I would give it a go! I got to choose the flavours and I chose caramel, double chocolate, chocolate orange and ginger bread!

I tried the double chocolate first, It wasn't as strong as I thought it would be so I was happy about that as like I said I like my coffee quite weak but I really enjoyed this, when you open the jar the smell is quite strong but once you actually make the coffee its not as strong.

I was so excited to try the gingerbread flavour because my favourite hot drink is hot chocolate with cinnamon in so I thought it would have a cinnamon hint, and it didn't disappoint! It wasn't how I was expecting it to taste but I really enjoyed it, I wouldn't see myself drinking it all the time but it is a nice flavour to mix it up a bit.

The next flavour I tried was the caramel this was one of my favourites it was just like normal coffee but with a hint of caramel, the others all have a stronger flavour but I liked this one as it was more of weaker taste – which personally I like!

Last but not least was chocolate orange, I am a lover of terry's chocolate orange so was really interested to see whether it would taste similar in some ways it does but the orange is more overpowering than the chocolate, its still nice but I would say its more of a orange flavoured coffee.

You can buy the beanies coffee in Sainsbury's, or online they cost £2.50 for 30g which isn't bad as I know it will last me a long time!

Have you tried flavoured coffee before? What are your favourite flavours?

Being Organised!

There's no point buying all those pretty notebooks if your not going to use them! It doesn't have to be difficult to stay organised you just need to find out what works best for you!

-       Plan!
I'm one of those people who If I don't plan my day for studying, blogging or working I will procrastinate! I make up silly things that need doing where compared to everything else that needs doing isn't important! I know everyone of you reading has procrastinated – and don't say you haven't because I know you would be lying! I have recently brought a mini white board to check everything off that needs doing and I feel so much better and a lot less stressed!

-       Be realistic!
I find if I give myself to much to complete I start to worry I won't get it all done and end up only doing half of what I need to do! Set targets that you know can be achieved, if you end up doing more that’s a bonus!

This are my two tips to staying organised! What tips work best for you? Let me know below!

Compact LED mirror review and Giveaway!

Pebble Grey kindly sent me their LED Vanity mirror to review and share with you!  The mirror is packaged in gorgeous packaging, giving it that extra touch to receiving your product, it would be a perfect present idea! It comes with a velvet pouch for you to keep the mirror safe in your handbag or makeup bag.

The mirror is extremely light weight and feels really sturdy and well made, it has a cute floral design on the back which I really like!

The LED lights are very bright and powerful, and I found it extremely helpful to use when plucking my eyebrows as I could see every last little hair. I enjoyed using the mirror and will continue to use it! I think the main use of the mirror for me will be plucking eyebrows as you can see much better with the LED lights.
